Enneagram coaching helps you grow in all areas of life by learning about your personality, how to grow beyond your weaknesses and how to utilize your strengths. My goal is to be an encouraging and knowledgeable presence that helps you gain better understanding of yourself and others in order to strengthen all your relationships.
The Enneagram is a personality typology that offers insights into a person’s unique struggles and strengths based on how they view and relate to the world. Self-awareness and emotional intelligence are necessary in order to build healthy relationships, a strong spiritual foundation, and a passionate and purposeful life.
What makes Enneagram different than other personality assessments? I would say that it doesn’t point out our actions as much as the motives behind our actions. Because of this, no one can tell us what our Enneagram type is. It takes self-reflection and prayer to understand why we think, feel and act in a certain way. Having a companion or coach to help as we process this self-reflection can help accelerate the healing and growth that God has available to us while offering insight into areas that we may be blind to ourselves.
I’m a personality assessment junkie. That explains why my daughter shared the Enneagram with me when she discovered it back in 2017. We loved one another deeply but are very different people and our relationship was somewhat strained at the time. Having a common interest was a treasure to me and we talked about what we were learning often. Over time, the clarity and insight we gained about ourselves and one another improved our relationship more than I can explain.
I was hooked.
I listened to podcasts, read books and studied whenever I could. I encouraged my friends and family to discover their numbers as my understanding and empathy for others grew. The framework of the Enneagram gave me a new appreciation for the differences among people without over simplifying our personalities or putting people in a box.
When my husband recognized how beneficial it had been for us and how much I enjoyed it, he encouraged me to become a certified coach and oin his ministry of training and encouraging pastors and business leaders around the world. I registered for the course but allowed a busy schedule and personal insecurities to distract me for months. And then life changed completely.
In April of 2021 my husband unexpectedly died and my future, my dreams, and my family all became uncertain and scary. The Enneagram helped my daughters and I understand our different reactions to grief, our needs, our struggles and how we could face the unknown in a healthier way. The more I saw how the tool helped us, the more I wanted to use it to help others. So, I completed the course and became certified in 2021.
It’s my hope that you will find the insights of the Enneagram to be a helpful tool in your life and relationships but that you will discover and experience the real power of transformation that comes through the love of Christ and his gospel of truth. I would be honored to join you on the journey.
Better yet, contact me and I’d be honored to coach you through the process of discovering which number best fits, what you can learn from that number and how you can grow past that number. The Enneagram isn’t about putting you in a box. It’s about breaking out of the natural habits that restrict us and moving into a healthy and whole version of who we were created to be.
The word, Enneagram, literally means a 9-sided figure. The figure represents 9 personality types that are divided into 3 triads. Each triad reveals the core way that a person relates to and responds to the world whether it’s through their instinct (gut), their feelings (heart) or their intellect (head). Each number has a core strength that they share with the world, a core fear that they are running from, a core longing that they long to hear , and a core struggle that trips them up along the way.
Although discovering your number through an enneagram assessment test is helpful, it isn’t necessarily accurate. It’s simply a place to start. Use this link to take a free assessment and read the results. What resonates to you the most? Take the top three and begin studying each one until you find the right “fit”.
